An update to the build. I my truck has been sitting at the tuners since April and was not touched. So I finally got my truck back and have started tuning it myself. The MAF conversion is done. I am using an 05 mustang MAF and a computer from a 95 5.8 Bronco. I have ditched my SCT chip in favor for a Moates Quarter Horse using binary editor software. It starts but is running very rich to the tune of 10.5AFR. I changed the slopes last night and the truck tried to do better but the plugs are shot. I'm getting new plugs for it today. If this does fix the rich/hunting idle then I will have a new radiator rushed to the house. My stock one decided to separate at the end cap. So it is getting an all aluminum racing version.

Since I am mocking up a turbo right now is there a way to read Map instead of Maf to read the manifold pressure behind the throttle plate for more accurate fuel adjustment.
Thanks Ill look into that the quarter horse looks to be like what I am looking for in the mapping department thanks. Do you need to manually disable the other 2 injectors and ign coil in the ecm after the 5.0 brain swap how is this achieved...
Thanks Paul W

Tuning using the stock speed density is difficult and not a lot of support. Even with everything my tuner had we just could not get the truck to run correctly. The ford MAP will not read boost. In the ECM you will change the firing order and zero out injectors 7&8.

Right on I've ran a turbo once before and got lucky enough that the car had a Maf that I just relocated right before the throttle plate but I never got to toy with a Map sensor. From what I have read the 5.0 Ecm supports a Maf so I might be able to get away with doing the same shibang.
Thanks man You're build is pretty sweet glad to see other boosters out here lol.

Here is a quick video of the truck running after the MAF conversion. I still have some issues to work out but the truck is drivable. After I get the issues worked out I hope to have a video of it in action.

Holy Crap im stoked to follow this one. I have been wondering if I should swap out my 300-6 for a 351w. Some welding and such but i like the idea of keeping the straight 6 if i can get this type of power out of it. Thanks for the vids and pics.
Did you get the inspiration for the turbo placement from the Trucks guys?
