Here is a pic of my truck hauling 2,200lbs of dirt and 750lbs of retaining wall block, for a total of 2,950lbs in the bed. She was down on the stops, but she drove just fine!

i have a broken leaf spring thats why my truck is sitting so low .. and the trailer might weight 150 lbs 200 tops but ya i wanna get a better hitch that just hooking to the bumper

I fill mine until just before the frame bends.
I don't really know what weight to say since I don't weigh what I put in, but as long as I feel I can stop safely enough then I load it up as much as I need. The rocks I loaded filled the bed over 3/4 of the way, and the axle was tight against the frame bumpstops. There was no suspension in the rear, no bouncing, nothing.
