Exclamation Truck got broken into

So like the title says, some d-bag got in my truck Monday night (I left it unlocked, but I usually do-small town, good neighborhood). It's so funny though, they are either retarded or got interrupted because they only took a couple bucks in change and a 5 year old cheap ebay brand mp3 player. Left a 60pc ratchet set, a set of metric and standard ratcheting wrenches, a bag of snap-on and craftsman wrenches, a set of metric impact sockets, an amp, a couple 6x9's in boxes, sony cd/mp3 HU, a stihl MS200 trim saw, a husqvarna blower and weadeater (both in bed), also my cup holder was full of quarters-they just grabbed the ones out of the change holder in fold-down console.

I'm glad I didn't get cleaned out but I feel if you are going to steal stuff at least learn what to take. That MS200 is $500 used all day long, the rest of it adds up to another $750-$1000, they made off with <$20, you gotta be kidding me.

Anyway this gave me the perfect excuse to get security cameras. They may just be off ebay but have great picture, 60m of IR sight at night, 500gb dvr, motion activated recording or timer or user controlled. Can't wait to get them up. My GF's kinda pissed though, her words "$200 on security camera's when you only lost $20, how does that make sense?"

Simple, because it could have been everything, plus they could have been smart enough to find the garage door remote and have free range on all of my tools and toys.

I have lived in this town for 30 years and never once has anything been stolen from my vehicle. I grew up like 10 blocks from my current house so this has been my neighborhood since I could walk. Usually park out front though, they have torn my street up and are taking there time laying down the new cement, been forced to park in the alley. I started locking my doors to, actually ordering keyless entry so I don't have to turn the key every time.

Maybe you should be their mentor.

Sorry your truck was broke into but crime is everywhere and at the least you should always lock your doors. This world that we live in is getting worse everyday. Hope that it never happens again.

Thanks for valuing the list. I'll know better what to ask at the pawn shop next time. Where in Iowa did you say you lived?

LOL, I stopped being lazy and took all of my stuff inside. I had been just worn out after work and would leave everything where it sat.

Lol, Me too......I hope the thin blue line sticker and the Wife's cop car parked next to my truck saves me most nights. Too lazy to clean the truck out!
