Oh yeah, like I said also ordered keyless entry automatic starter. I put the same unit in my girlfriend's caddy (took a couple extra relays, bypasses, and resistors than this truck will need but still only 1-1.5 hrs total.) with no problems so I figure this thing should just fall in and work. Also installing the Cameras and DVR today.

thats funny you say that because I have $800+ worth of tools in my toolbox, and I leave my toolbox unlocked 100% of the time. I also used to lock my keys in my truck all the time so I started keeping a set of spare keys in my tool box in case I lock my keys in my truck again. So someone could make off with all my tools and my truck without having to break a lock or hotwire anything. Lmao.
Now that Ive told yall that please dont steal my truck
I dont have problems with crime in my area though. In the past 10 years two of my neighbors have shot and killed thieving trespassers in their houses Needless to say after the last incident we have had no crime in our area,
Thats how we handle our business in Texas.

Things are getting bad in my town, it used to be rather safe but now we're having shootings, stolen vehicles, and vandalized property rather often, with the latter two under no support from PD to look into it other than taking a report.
Truck gets locked with a high end Viper lock+starter kill+2-way keyfob, and truck box has been upgraded to a better one and always stays locked to store all my fire gear. Another guy on my fire company had his turnouts stolen out of his truck... I'd definitely like to avoid that.

I've always locked my vehicles, doesn't matter where I am or how long I will be there
I also have several security cameras around my house, inside & out

I leave my truck unlocked at work. I work in a town that sometimes has police and sometimes doesn't. It'll be cheaper to replace the stolen items by themselves minus the cost of window glass. Pretty much the only thing that I do to protect my stuff is to park next to my wife's police car at the trailer park she works at as a courtesy officer and a thin blue line decal on the trucks. Call me stupid, but I open carry around the trailer park too! Something about seeing a crazy white guy with a pistol on his side and toting a shotgun to and from the truck that I think serves as a bit of education for my neighbors.
Edit, as far as work goes, I'm there for 84 hours straight. The coffee pot stays on and the cops, when we have them, all know where the key is. As strange as it is, our Fireman all carry. They are the only backup we have in the middle of the woods at 2am while we're waiting on the Sheriff's Department to arrive. It's small town life that plays out the way it plays out. The good thing about is, even the tugs seem to take care of us. They know that the ambulance might be their only hope for survival. We get allot of strange looks when the thugs call us by name and we exchange greetings. They don't bother us and we don't bother them.

I can open carry anywhere in this state with a few exceptions. Open carry is legal here. I don't make a habit of open carry in most places because people do not know the law and feel threatened. Hell, our cops are even getting called in on with gun and badge displayed. People are idiots!

You can open carry statewide in Kansas, minus Federal Buildings, schools, etc. They just upheld the law to carry into businesses that have the no weapons sign. They still don't have to serve you, but it's not a ticketable offense for open carry in city limits anymore. They apparently changed the "concealed" definition for weapons in a vehicle in Kansas as well. Weird things are upon us.
Back on topic, had my old 09 scratched right by the door when I lived in southern AR. Thought I heard something through the 1940's single pain windows (cheap rental Lol) and when I came out, there were footprints by truck in the mud and scratches all around the lock. All of my neighbors knew I carried as well as slept with a loaded gun by the bed. Never did find out who screwed up my paint job though. There wasn't anything in the truck, but some trash and maybe a $2 winning lottery ticket. Oh well. I don't live there anymore so no worries. Still lock my truck everytime I get out though.
