Default truck died while on rear pump

so i was driving home and shortly after hitting a pot hole the truck died. after coasting into a parking lot i tried to restart but couldnt. switched it to the front tank and she started right up and drove the rest of the way home without further issue.

when i got home i had some one turn the key to the on position while on the front pump and then for the back pump. front was a nice loud fast whirl sound, while the back was a low slow tired whirl sound. i plan to check if i knocked something loose tomorrow but would like any ideas you'll might have.

truck info: 1994 ford f150 5.0L V8 4x4 extended cab short bed dual tank. rear has been replaced with a spectra tank and pump combo from rockauto.com about 2 years ago. fuel filter has been replaced about 1 year ago.

im not 100% sure but if your talking about a Maine style pot hole you might have tripped the intetra switch on the truck however im not sure the 94s had them. check to see if the wires came loose as well that could happen sometimes.

My '87 has the inertia switch, just like all of them. But yes that would shut down both.
