found this site that has people with the same problem, it must be the egr and they talk about building a restriction plate.

You problem could just as easily be the TPS, if it is EGR related, it's something that can rectified w/o a restriction plate. Do an Error code scan. Look at all your cards, before throwing your hand!

i did unplug the vaccum to the egr and it runs fine now. so i might try that restriction plate. i have run scans before and found out that it has thrown a couple egr codes before but it has been a while.

Ok, Good luck w/ that! personally I'd work w/ the codes & restoring full function. A decision to go with a restriction plate? You'll have to take that argument up w/ the folks that designed the engine that incorporated EGR (it's not just about emissions!)You probably won't like what they have to say, and I'm guessing Smog tests are not an issue where you live.

Mine also has no speed in 2nd like it dies down when i give it a bunch of gas but it will run like a beast through the rest of the gears and i cant fiqure it out either.
