Default Truck acting weird and breaking down

This past week my truck has broke down and stalled 3 different times while driving. I do have code 33 showing but i had that before this all started. Now when this happens it is completely random and i cant make the truck do it to show a mechanic. It drives fine then all of the sudden she starts shaking real bad and rpms are all over the place and withing 30 seconds loses all power and stalls but will start right back up then do it again. If i let it sit for 15 minutes after stalling it the problem goes away and will not happen for awhile. The truck is a 93 I6 5speed 4x4 199700 miles

My 91 302 does something very similar. No real shaking though. I've gotten no response to my thread.

Possible ignition control module. Does it do it at any engine temp? Or pretty much only once its warmed up to running temp?

Only when its warmed up. Never had it happen when cold.

Gas mileage stays the same. It only takes about 45 seconds to go threw the ordeal then it stalls. you can not drive it when it does its just enough time to pull over. I do get a heavy exhaust smell tho i just recently noticed that.

I would check the TPS it will cause those problems also. It tells the PCM to adjust air/fuel ratio, timing, and the EGR depending on the load on the motor through the full rpm range. If you have the slotted type you may be able to adjust the voltage to solve the problem

Mine does it randomly. Sometimes during the first idle of the day sometimes after 2-3 minutes of driving. I don't usually drive more than 4-5 miles each way to work.
