Transfer case not shifting, engaging

Sounds like a plan. If you do end up taking the linkage off then some other time you could get underneath and hook something to the tab then pull with as much force as you can to try to get it to move. I think pull, if I remember how the linkage works. Is your other t-case manual?

yeah you pull it to the engine if your underneath theres a bar going from the lingage to the tab is what i ususally use on my other truck to shift and my other truck is a manual shift with manual transmisson. I am not 100% sure if it will fit considering the different transmissons but im hoping.
I would measure out the stock linkage if you take it off to swap so you could fab something up later if you need to.

Hopefully. So you can't even shift in the cab on the working one? Sounds like you just needed a couple more pivot points and a shifter of some kind and you could do it from the cab. Maybe on the non shifting one if you get it to work later.

my other truck has the broken one still hanging there i just need a new one but there close to 200 bucks or so online sometimes cheaper. id prefer to just steal one if it works.
as for fabricating one ill pass, I use 4x4 very little in my 94. i have a great set of tires on so the only time i need 4x4 is if im helping to pull somone out or having fun. the 1993 i just got on the otherhand has crappy snows and im most likley going to thrash it more or less its going to be a dialy driver/ toy truck for me.

I cannot shift it in the cab at all or underneath, its the stock shift linkage so it should work which leades me to think theres an issue with either the linkage being frozen so it wont shift or the transfercase itself.

The sticker on the visor says it needs to be in park, however i tried Park Nurtal and even in the cab reverse drive over drive and 1
still does not budge. I have a feeling there's something jamming up the internal shifter mechanism If i am correct it should be able to slide out but i wont know until i try to remove it tomorrow if the PB and WD dont work on it

I think I have a bum transfer case , but we got four inches of ice pellets and another four inches of fluffy snow today, so I really don' t feel like changing it.
