Default tires tires tires!! (I already know the size and everything!!)

I'm in the tail stages of a resto of my truck, and now the question is tires:

I have winters done:
Hankook I-Pikes on painted stock alloy wheels, 235/75/15
http://www.discounttire.com/infohank...ipikew409.html

those are great winter tires

Now the question is summer tires... because i have dedicated winter tires i don't intend to go with too aggressive of an off road tire, and this is my current choice:

michelin LTX m/s2's, 10 ply, 235/75/15
like this:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....TR5LTXMS2OWLXL

anyone have suggestions for the summer tire? they're going on powdercoated stock steel wheels

The iPikes are great snow tires... love mine.

I usually just read the tire reviews on tirerack/discounttire to pick new tires - those michellins look like they got good ratings (only 3 reviewers tho).

Check out the Yokohama Geolander AT/S, I've heard about people having good luck with those tires.

unfortunately, i've got a full set, and i'm afraid shipping from texas would be prohibitively expensive

I bought a set of Khumo, dont know the model from discount tires, with hazard warranties, plus install and all the other goodies for 490 and they came with an 85k warranty, which i thought was ridiculous, but discount said that they would back them up to 85k plus i am covered with any nails or other hazards, Personally i don't need really sticky tires on my truck because I just commute with it, but I would definitely check them out, since they are cheaper and have a long warranty

Go with the michelins. You'll be extremely happy. The geolanders are awful. I work at a tire store and have never had any issues with the michelins.

yea, part of the thought process is that I am restoring the truck, and don't want a "kumho" or "yokohoma" tire on there... a ford truck looks good with a nice american tire.. goodyear or michelin. I just put a set of the ltx ms2's on a chevy suburban and love them.
