Default Tire and Leveling Question

Hey guys, sorry if this is common knowledge but I just bought my first truck (at 19 y/o) and its a 1994 F150 XLT 5.0L V8 and I'm kinda curious about some few things.

My truck is currently on some almost bald 235/75r15s and I'm thinking about going bigger to 265s. I was wondering what impact that would have on my MPG and speedometer (and how to fix the speedometer).

Also thinking about getting a rough country leveling springs (http://www.roughcountry.com/ford-lev...-kit-9265.html) and wanted to know if you guys think 265s would be the right size or too small/big etc.

Thanks for your help.

If it is a 4WD then 265/75R15's or 31x10.5's should fit without any suspension lift.

If it is a 2WD then save some money and get yourself a set of Moog cc824 or cc844 springs to level it out and then the 31's will fit no problem. You will absolutely 100% need to get it aligned afterwards, which will require the installation of alignment bushings - look to spend $150-200 at a shop for this unless you want to try it yourself.

You can re-program the speedometer - there is actually a thread that got started within the last few weeks here that dealt with it successfully.

I have 265's on my 95 2wd. I didn't go the Moog route but eventually I will. I got instead was a coil spacer. Works for now but once I get more $$ I"ll get the Moog.

265's definitely rub on my radius arms.

Also, I started that thread on the speedo, check it out. Super easy to do!
