Need some help. 1994 with 302 engine. Does this have a coolant temperature "sensor" and a coolant temperature "sending unit"?
Last year I replaced the one, I believe the sensor, has 2 wires coming from it. However I just replaced my thermostat and it barely shows in the normal range. I installed a 180 degree thermostat, but would expect it to read warmer than that. Where would the sending unit be located?

One's on the thermostat housing, one is near the base of the distributor.

Huh... not seeing it. Chilton manual is of no help whatsoever, doesnt even list it..lists the sensor but not a sending unit.

think I found it, kind of hides from ya doesnt it. looking from the front of the truck, it sits off of the right of the distributor just a tad, and kind of down amongst some other stuff? Lookes real convenient to get to.
I guess if it just controls the gauge its not going to hurt anything for a couple days. My local parts store doesnt have one on hand.
