Timing bump and ign upgrade in '87 5.0?
Just put a new crank kit and bearings in 87 5.0 2wd shortbox that had oil pump running low for a long time before we got it...rod/crank bearing shot journals worn--top end was still relatively flawless though..rest of truck isa still pretty nice at 140K also.
It is currently stock. Have a Flomaster single in and dual out going on it (got entire exhaust cheap--$25-- from buddy who wrecked his truck...)
Was trying to search on forum if the timing bump/MSD coil/cap/.55 plug gap etc was good for the 87 5.0 also or just 94 and later and couldn't get a clear read from the threads.
Got to replace cap and rotor, plugs and wires anyways, just wondering if it is best for 87 5.0 or diff timing bump? Thanks DOUG

http://fullsizebronco.com/forum/show...ht=timing+bump I prefer 16BTDC for my 87' 302 but anything over 13BTDC is going to be a pretty noticeable improvement.
