Default Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)

I need to replace my Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) on my 1988 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Supercab w/5.0 V-8, Manual Trans, 2WD. I've been finding conflicting instructions. Can anyone out there help?

How do you know you need to & what do you want to know? I'll start w/, it's a pain in the *** & I wouldn't do it unless you really need to! http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=30 Your TPS may not be adjustable. 87's are non adjustable.

Pulling the throttle body off is the easiest way, adjusting it to the "perfect value" of .98 volts, after it's on, is the royal P.I.A.....
