Maybe to many trucks?
I think their is a sensor on the side of the transmission that goes out and that might be your problem. I know on our 90 the neutral safety switch went out and I pulled it off and put a new one on and if fixed the original problem plus the OD problem (wouldn't go into OD when we got it).
Maybe you just forgot to plug it in (not sure if it could start then though).

Also I changed the oil today, used Pennzoil 5w-30 and a motorcraft FL1A. I expected my oil pressure to drop a bit (had HD30 in it for the break in) but actually it increased! It used to sit at 50-60 psi cold idle and 25-30 psi at hot idle. Now its the same at cold idle and here it was when I got home from work a few minutes ago at idle after driving about 20 minutes @ 650 rpm

No problem also try pulling codes (not sure if you have tried or not). I bet you will figure it out fast.
I would definatly pull the codes before getting one. I just knew I had to replace it because the thing was buzzing louder then heck while the truck was off and would for over half an hour till either I disconnected the battery or it died.
Last thing I would check is the inside button clean the connections. I know on the dual tank things they like to get corroded don't see why it wouldn't on the OD switch (part of the reason I like the steering column one on our 92 f250).
Just some thoughts.

Yeah it shifts great. I'm ordering an o2 sensor and extension hopefully in the next couple days. Im excited to see what I can get out of it after that.
Thanks trav! I think you guys are onto something with this switch. The od worked when I first got it, but it didn't want to go in and out of od very easy. Sometimes i would kick it down to third and then it wouldn't go back into od. Then the next day it shifted in and out pretty good. Now when it gets to od it just revs up like its in neutral.
