in the past week or so ive noticed my truck sucking more gas then normal, it has a newer tune up, air filter, the check engine light is NOT on, i cant seem to figure out what is doing it, i also dont have any cats, so i know that cant be it, and it is a 89 5.0 regular cab 2wheel drive

nope, no smoke of any kind

when did you cut off your cats

 

they were off when i got it, my best friend had it before me and when he got it the cats were rotted off the y-pipe so he just ran duel exhaust of the y pipe

 

hmm ive seen 302s get horrible gas mileage for no reason
