Default Stories of PO Poor Mechanical Work

This one isn't F150 but here goes. Misfire on new to me 04 Camry 4cyl. PO broke both bolts that attach engine beauty cover. Broke all four (very simple) clips from wiring harness to coil packs. Used regular wheel bearing grease instead of dielectric grease on spark plug to coil connections. Used three correct Denso plugs and one Denso plug that was completely off for the application. I think it was for a motorcycle or something as it had two ground straps. Definitely first Rodeo!!

My Po had the battery out of a durango in my f150, he rigged up some crappy aftermarket gauges on the dash, with duct tape, and then spray painted the dash a god awful maroon and underneath the duct tape you could see the original tan dash color. He also had locked in the front hubs because "his brothers friend said that was how they should be driven" he had removed the cats and done the spray and pray weld technique to fix it, and he used a stack of 12 washers behind one of the headlight bolts instead of a spacer. Also, heres how my PO had my driveshaft attached to the rear axle:

When I pulled one of the drums...

My stepdad was the PO and that man never turned a wrench in his life so I'm pretty sure I can blame this one on his mechanic.

Hahha I've got the best one. My 1995 flareside had the oil pan gasket changed by the PO or a shop. But they didn't put the motor mount bolts in or didn't tighten them and drove it. Resulted in a bent driveshaft and a smashed oil filter. Chewed the bottom of the transmission up too.

Haha really, my truck was services at the ford dealer and never had anything major happen to it. Since I have had it nothing major has happened, but I have done some moderate work to it.

My current truck has actually been pretty free of bad mechanic work on it! Worst I've found was a zip tied vacuum actuator under the dash. I was a bit stumped as to why my A/C would only ever come out the vents, and absolutely nowhere else. With that, I got to searching, thinking it was going to suck royally with that vacuum system, until I spied that little zip tie.
