Check engine light
How long has your check engine light been on?
My check engine light has been on for over three years now and is burn the image in my retina! If the OEM would build the trucks with the same durability and quality as they specified in this Check engine light, It would be one great vehicle.

actually the CEL was implemented to help owners...not drive with engine issues that may leave them stranded.
Mine has seldom been on, unless there was an issue, in the two decades I have had my truck.
The caveat is that you need to fix the culprit and clear the light...
YMMV

Wait I'm confused. So you have been driving for 3 years with a CEL, never read it to find and fix the issue and it's somehow the unreliable trucks fault? Do I have that right? Is this a troll post?

He's just being tongue in cheek. Like the light is rock solid compared to what set it off... He's just being light hearted. I think he was hoping the light would of burned out by now... At least that was my impression.

I just spent a portion of a day fixing my CEL. That is a way the state inspectors can ding you. I wondered why it never came on, even when it ate a rocker arm. Then it occurred to me, that it didn't come on key on, engine off, either.
