Default Need Help with 1994 F150

I have a 1994 f150 4x4 with a 5.8 engine and automatic trans. Truck has run fine since 1996, but after letting it set for about 3 weeks it seems to have all kinds of problems. It will start up and idle good, but as soon as you put it in gear it starts to miss badly. It will set in gear and idle pretty good until I touch the gas and then it starts to miss bad. I have checked the fuel pressure it has 36lbs. I have changed the plugs, wires, Ign. control module, fuel filter, TPS and checked the timing. The Overdrive light is flashing off and on, but I do not have a check engine light turned on. Some one said this light flashing means I have torque converter problems. Help !!!!!!!!!!

it is more than likely a converter problem. when mine did exactly what your describing it was the solenoid pack in the trans. not too hard to do yourself. you may want to disconnect the wire harness from the trans and remove from the truck completely and inspect it very well as that could cause the same issue. if the tabs that hold the connector in are broken, go buy a new plug from a dealer or part store and wire it in and replace

I tried to pull the codes using the method for digital miles and all I get is
E 08 6
Could something be stuck in the transmission?

I have these codes, 621, 622, 624, 622, 629, 637

I know the clock spring is broken and has been for a couple of years, also the ign. key has to stay in the switch because it is almost impossible to get back in if it is removed. Could these things be causing my problems?

i forgot to mention, it could be the trans filter. if its come loose it can cause all your problems. ford had a TSB out about it, adding a second magnet in the pan to help hold it in place. your issues are trans related and probably one of the things i've said so far. good luck

I dropped the pan to check for a loose filter, it was not. I changed the filter and filled back up with new fluid and a can of SeaFoam Trans Tune. It seems to be better, but problem not solved yet.
After this I rechecked the codes and it looks like the only one I have now is 624. Anyone know what to do for this?

OK Guy's I'm still having the same problem. Engine idles fine in gear until I apply the slighest touch to the gas pedal, then engine starts to miss and truck just bumps and jumps trying to move. I have checked for a loose trans filter not loose, and removed the wiring harness and found nothing wrong. I just changed the solenoid pack and it's the same thing. Light is still flashing on gear shift. How do you reset ( turn of the codes), I removed the neg. cable while I changed out the solenoid pack, thinking this would reset the code. Any suggestions?
