I found some old cedar boxes about to be thrown away, about 13" wide, 4.5" deep and 8" high and decided to use them for some speaker boxes,

That's actually pretty sweet. Like the look and they're low profile. I think I got mine from Walmart for like $15 but I'd have gladly just reused if I had boxes hanging around!

I wouldve used the carpeted ones, but no stores sell the boxes, and buying online, you don't know what your getting and if it will fit.. I still need to take them out and put polyurethane on them to preserve them.

I don't know much about speakers or the correct size, but I'm just shooting for a little more sound, and after trying out what I had done, it did exactly what I wanted.

Theres several styles of speaker boxes and I found some very good prices on amazon.com.
