I have an 88 f-150 custom. when i bought the truck about a month ago i noticed something rattling under the truck. to my surprise it is an empty spare tire carrier. one of the long screws is easily removable(to get the tire out) but the other screw located right in front of the rear tire has a nut over the hole that seems to be on there so you cant take it off. there is no means of grabbing the end of the screw with any sort of tool because the end is basically a solid cone. any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have you tried a pipe wrench? Or, maybe... Just a thought... But maybe, you COULD put your spare tire there lol.

Cut it off if ur not gunna put a tire in it
