Smog pump elimination on a 5.8??
HEEEELP....
My smog pump is making terrible noises on my 95 F150 (5.8)
My Cat. is gone so I'm not worried about the emissions system ... that and it was 2 degrees the other day so I'm kinda into the whole global warming thing....
question is; where can I find a smog pump elimination bracket for the 5.8 they're all for the 5.0 ,,, (mustang people ) or are they the same.. (not likely, I know)
Thanks!

on my 91 5.0 bronco it had the smog pump removed and it had a belt on there that was shorter so there was no need for an eliminator bracket. Of course I never wrote the number down but I read somewhere someone said it was a 90.2" belt. Dont know if it will work on a 5.8 tho. Let me know a part number if you find one bc my smog pump will be going bye bye too.

6k945 is the belt that will be really tight, but will work. Just did it on a 93 F350 4x4 here in the shop. Idk about the truckers schooling on bracketry, folks have been modding those stangs for years, much more than the trucks usually get. Regaurdless it rocks lol! Obviously I have both therefore I love both!
