Default Smog pump delete belt size

Finally got the old smog pump off and replaced with a smaller belt. Running a 87.5" dayco belt on my 1991 F150 XLT Lariat 302. Was a b***h to get on too.

I wouldn't mind knowing aswell, I want to do the same thing on my 95 5.0. I think what I'll end up doing, is using a string or something and wrap it around te remaining pulleys and just measure that.

i got one of those flexable measuring tapes from the sewing section at wally world,

then i pulled the idler about half way,(held it with a pipe and ratchet strap, but you should get some help.) then wrapped the tape around just like the belt would run, and tada, perfect measurement.

I used the the "string theory" as well and was off by 1 inch or so, mainly because I didn't have the tension arm on at the time of said measuring. However I was successful in getting my belt on by myself while in the Advance Autos parking lot.

On my '92, I'm running an 89.5" belt. Thought it was the same for a '91, but I guess not. Dayco 5060895.

I just told them it was for my off road vehicle and they didn't seem to care. Any sale is a sale to them... go figure.

i used the ford racing delete pulley, worth the money but i was also deleting ac (used delete pulley too) and wanted to keep stock belt length of ease of replacement, plus i wanted to keep the stock geometry designed for the pulleys. if you have deep pockets the pulleys are the way to go.

My 88 5.8L F150 with the pump removed uses a NAPA 25-060910 belt. Fits perfectly.

Ive got 95 150 5.0. What I did was measure using a string and came up needing a 91inch belt it worked but was extremely tight and hard to get on. Also you risk burning up alternator bearings and such with a belt that tight so I went to a 91.5inch belt. Was to loose and kept poping off! So I went and got a lil bigger idler puller and wa la! Fits like a glove. Been driving over 6 months with this set up no issues. Part number you will need. Belt- 915k6 which Is a common Gm size. And idler pulley dayco 89018. Not sure what it goes too. I work for a auto shop and had local part store bring as many pulleys as he could fit in his truck. This is the best setup I found. Part numbers should be good at both autozone and advanced auto parts
