So with the big storm today i went to go into 4 wd and the lever is really loose. like i can pull it up and al around. After a while i figure out if i pushed down a little while pulling back it will go into 4 wheel drive. wierd part is it didnt do it yesterday when i test drove the truck. What would cause this and how do i fix it?

check where it mounts into the side of the transmission......

You could check the linkage maybe? but dought it has any thing. Maybe where its mounted to the t-case
