Can anybody tell me where the slave cylinder is located? I have a 92 with a 302 and a 4spd manual no overdrive thanks i need to bleed my clutch

I think its inside the bell housing like the 5 speed. Follow the clutch master cylinder line down to transmission it should run to the bell housing.

its an external slave cylinder i followed the line to figure that out so idk how to bleed it...

I bled an extenal on a madza. I got someone to pump clutch pedal while i opean the bleeder screw. 10 pumps of the pedal then hold pedal down while someone opens bleeder screw to get the air out of the slave. Once the air is out you should be good to go, or you can let it gravity bleed to get air out.
Just dont let it run out of fliud or you'll have to start over again.

External slave doesn't have a bleeder screw.

So when you said you had a 4 spd, I thought you meant a 4spd with OD like 90% of everyone on here calls it

Whoops my bad.

In that case you're problem may be different in you're clunking into reverse. Only way to bleed those systems as far as I know it bench bleeding the master. But you may also have a worn release fork or on the collar.

Not sure if the push rod is adjustable on the external slaves or not?

Before i got on here today i looked for a bleed screw and couldnt find one then on i got on and read what Sean said makes sense now and it doesnt always do that clunk sometimes it just slides right in as quiet as can be! other times like this morning just a light clunk instead of the loud hard clunk, any ideas?

Sorry tyler 172 i thought all external slave had bleeder screw. I know my madza truck does. I believe it make thing much easy if they had bleeder screw. Its pretty easy on my madza
