Cheap flowmaster knock offs all end up sounding like a transit bus to me, plus you cant beat the flow of a straight hole.
The busses out here are CNG turbine engines so I can't answer to the comparison, however a chambered mufler is a chambered mufler. Mine has good strong welds and a nice throaty rumble. It's loud with the 3" straight pipe and mellow with a 90 degree turn. Everyones taste is different. Try to find sound files of different mufflers. Keep in mind glass packs use fiberglass filler to tune the sound. As the filler burns the sound changes. Chambered (baffeled) or turbo mufflers use tubes or tuned baffels to adjust the sound. Those don't change unless something breaks.

I'm looking fro something louder and cheap, so is it all personal preference? I'm looking a thrush turbo mufflers, or Glasspack mufflers. How loud are the Glasspacks in real life with the stock exhaust up to the muffler then a pipe out to the side of the rear wheel?

Turbo mufflers are not a straight through design.
