Default Old Mildred the Bricknose

New to the forums. Thought I’d join and share my recent score. I bought a beautiful 1990 F-150 XLT Lariat 302 5.0 2WD with only 77K original miles from the husband of an old lady who used to drive the truck. They were the original owners who lived in a small town called Bremond, Texas. Literally a barn find. She had a lot of dust on her and needed some TLC but since I bought her in August I’ve changed the water pump, did a coolant flush, replaced the PVC valve, the oil sender, the thermostat, the radiator cap, the starter solenoid, and changed the fuel filter. I also ran some injector cleaner in the tank twice and ran it through. I also retimed the distributor so it fires up a bit better. She’s now running like a dream with the only lingering issues being one of the gauge cluster needle caps having fallen off, the stock radio volume is spotty (using a bluetooth speaker as my radio), and the oil temperature gauge bounces a bit on idle still after trying to change the oil sender switch.

I’ve added a 4" lift and some 33" Falken Wildpeak All-terrain tires and a flomaster exhaust so the note sound nice. I also replaced the dingy tail lights with a set of new ones (stock). I clay barred the exterior, did a deep clean and polish, and next up is super cleaning the engine bay.

I love this truck!

1991 F-150 XLT Lariat 2wd with 2" front lift, 300 six with automatic. Almost two years in the making but I think its just about were I'm happy with it. Though I still may install larger tires. I got my permit last week so hopefully I can get my registration done next week.
