Nice color! I'm biased though. Original paint? Motor? Looks good for that many miles

It is the original paint and motor! There has only been a few parts replaced but it is mostly still original.

Used it to run a small lawn business. I could tell that the owner before him must have taken good car of it, do to some of the repairs I could see (the water pumps been replaced, the oil pan has been off at one point), but the last guy just ran it into the ground. When I purchased it, it had a broken rear spring, broken driver's vent window glass, shattered pass turn signal housing, leaking radiator, a massive exhaust leak due to a broken thermactor crossover tube, CEL and ABS lights both on, and warped front rotors, along with a ton of smaller things wrong with it. However, the engine started and idled well, the transmission shifted smoothly, the 4WD worked, and it was wearing a near new set of 31x10.5 ATs. Not to mention, it only had 105K on it, and was an XL, which makes it more desirable in my book. I made a list that totaled up to 40 things wrong, and at this time I'm down to just a handful of piddly things.

The front end was replaced at one point with what appears to be bronco parts. XL trucks should have never came with chrome bumpers and grills.

Not a big fan of the decal kit, but don't hate it enough to spend the hours with a heat gun removing it.

Also notice the split folding bench seat. Ya, that ain't factory either. Must have came out of an extended cab
I added the tach-equipped cluster.

'94 was a good year. Mass air, sequential injection and HO F4TE cam gave it a nice horsepower boost over the previous model year and slightly better fuel economy. Also first year for R-134A, and it came with a 3G alt.
Still to do:
1. POR-15 some cab surface rust
2. Little bit of paint touch up
3. Change transfer case fluid and rear axle fluid
4. Add drain plug to front axle and change fluid
5. Purchase set a 235/75/15 highway treads to mount on extra set of aluminum rims, for summer driving.
6. Replace battery cables
Hey, on your cluster w rig turned off your temp & pressure gauges are not reset to left. Mine is doing same, did you ever resolve?

Thanks!

This is my first posting, having joined the forum today. This truck was owned by a neighbor who had it from new, so been a family member for 22 years - I always liked the semi-retro look of it. Turns out his kid's off to college (she used it to ride to school) and he needs the cash. It's a 92 Flareside 302 4x4 auto with 140k miles. He was asking $3500, we settled on $2750. Being FL, the paint is all cooked off the upper surfaces, but apart from a single 'character-ding' in the passenger door, it's all straight, chrome is super-good and has brand new Goodrich All-Terrain radials and spotless rims. Motor/trans runs great and EVERYTHING works except seat lumbar support.
Truth is I bought this to be the family 'beater' and was not planning on spending another dime on it, but got to thinking, "This is actually quite nice". I'm now wondering if it's worth investing in some paint and accessories - or is it pretty much an old nail confined to runs to the dump, Home Depot etc?
My first F150 experience, so all advice and comment most welcome!
