i just washed it really well and took my time taping it off, i didn't scuff it because the inside of the grille was already pretty rough so i hope that dont bite me on the *** later down the road. the chrome will need to be scuffed, i would get a XL grille (not sure how it worked for the 10th gens so sorry if the XLs didnt have grey grilles) and paint it instead of your chrome one.
all told it took me around 2 hours, and a hour of that was just taping it off and removing the tape.
also i cant figure out what i want to do next to the dang thing, finish up all the little stuff or finish up the big/expensive projects...

Dodge+Ford = always ready
then take away the info you need from my post lol,
"i just washed it really well and took my time taping it off, i didn't scuff it because the inside of the grille was already pretty rough so i hope that dont bite me on the *** later down the road."
i want to see it done, should look amazing. get good tape (the normal blue painting tape obviously) then whatever color that is in a spray can and do 3 coats, then 2-3 coats of clear. if you want it to last then i would probably scuff it a little, like i said i dont know how long mine will last so we will see.

Nice find, I picked up my 95 4x4 xlt with 42k all original miles on it, 18 months ago for $2000. Tires had been changed at 40k miles, so all I had to do was change the fluids, the 95 had its first transmission fluid change in 2012 lol(cork from factory was floating in the fluid when changed it). I was going to do a tune up, but no need, drives and runs like new. I bought a msd coil, msd dist, some good quality racing type plug wires but haven't even put them on yet. Not even any rust under it, zero rust on body, I took off brakes last week to change and still had over 50% left on original pads. Only non working thing is cruise control....I kinda gave up on trouble shooting it.
