IMO American system is retarded and we should switch. I'm not even saying that because I know the metric system, which I do not at all..
10 mm = 1 cm. 100cm = 1 meter. Just makes more sense, best displayed in the above chart.
This also comes from being an Electrician and the AWG system on wires. AMERICAN wire gauge. 22 gauge is TINY while 1 gauge is large. After a certain large size, we go to a measure the cross section size in Millimeters anyways. I've heard they are eventually dumping the AWG system soon anyhow.
