I've never been able to find nice steps/flares for our truck secondhand always new :/

I also don't like the CARR ones because being inexpensive, they mount to the body which is a bit sketchy imo.

Default Steps get my vote...

But honestly its a matter of opinion. Whatever you like best is what you should go with.

I ditched the running boards my truck came with for steps.

Also I respectfully disagree with the previous poster - these things are completely rock solid if mounted properly.

depends on the tube step. some mount using the body mount and others bolt to the pinch weld. i wouldn't risk it.

Two stories they set me against those energy drinks and metabolism/ workout pills. First when I was in AIT training in the ARMY the pills were super popular. Lots of guys were taking them to get cut, increase workouts and physical test performance or to make the weigh in. A 20 year old football hero, PT stud in the best shape of his life dropped dead of a heat attack during a pt run. This guy could have been an Olympic athlete but the pills messed him up so bad he couldn't recover from a heart attack at 20. And they still sell those things. Its not like he was on steroids or anything. Those things were supposed to be healthy. On the energy drinks my buddy drank so may of them ( about 2/3 a day ) that they killed his testosterone production. Only 27 years old and in otherwise good health. He gained weight, lost energy and muscle and became acting like a moody bitch. He seriously began acting like a chick on her cycle. The doctor said the caffeine acted as a replacement for the natural hormones and his body became addicted to it and quit producing its own. My biggest problem with both of these things is they advertise them as health supplements like juice, water or Gatorade. Oh BTW too much Gatorade will dehydrate you for anyone that didn't have or never saw someone ignore desert survival training. Drink water people.

And too much water can kill you. Drink both. You have to keep it in balance. They can advertise that stuff because it isn't medicine, its "vitamin supplements" usually with way higher than normal daily values like lots of vitamin b in some energy drinks. Unless something/someone can prove its a danger there isn't much anyone can do about it. I tried hydroxycut in Korea, holy crap did it pep me up but I stopped after a couple days because of chest pains. Since then I've heard they changed the ingredients some because too many people were ending up hospitalized or whatever.

I have steps mounted to the body. I weigh 330 pounds and I can stand on them with all my weight and all is good.
