Default Gas tank

Alot of times the rear tank doesn t work because the actual gas tank is rusted out and won t hold gas, that's been the problem with all mine at least

mine holds gas, my wife accidentally filled it up she didn't know it had two tanks, so i have 30 bucks worth of gas i cant use sitting in the truck now. so after i drain it. i will try cleaning the filter or just replace it. thanks for the response fellas.

I doubt it's the filter. My friend had the same problem with his F-150 a while back, fixed with a new in-tank fuel pump. This can come with age, or running it while low on fuel a lot. Good luck.

So you should keep like a 1/4 tank in both most of the time?

And uh is it possible my tanks are 14 and 16 gallons? 1992 F150 Ext cab 5.0l V8 short bed.

92? It's an 18 gallon tank.
