Default rear disc?

Has anyone ever swaped the rear drums for rear disc? Can a rear axel from say a stang or a E-van work(not sure if they even have rear disc)

The 'stang have a different bolt pattern and I believe that the E series have drums until after the body changes.

I'm not even sure if the rear from a stang or an explorer would be wide enough to use on a 150.

Wrong bolt pattern, the F 150 uses 5 on 5.5 inch lug bolt, these kits are for a 5 on 4.5. So they will mount on a explore or ranger but not the full size.

I found out after some research that the rear disc off of a explorer will bolt upto the f150 axels. Just yank all the brake hardware off and install on the truck rear. The only then you really need to tweek is the rotors and that you have to drill out the corret bolt pattern. Also the E-brack cable will have to be custom.
