Default lug nut/bolt trouble

Alright, whoever had my truck before me somehow messed up one of the lug bolts on the front driver side wheel. The nut turns, but it is frozen to the bolt. So when I turn the lug nut, it spins the bolt too. I can't get far back enough on the bolt to try and steady it while I turn the nut, and I've tried without success to drill it out. It just burns up the (metal) drill bit and dulls it really quickly. Any suggestions? Thanks...

Does it stick out enough to hit it with a hammer? You're best bet is to break the stud off. Had this happen to me once, I used a cut off wheel to put a slice in the top of the lug nut and beat it with a chisel and a pocket sledge until it broke off.

The problem with that is that the center cap gets in the way if i try and do that. Tried to bend it down with my lug wrench for a similar effect, but it slid off the end of the lug nut. I think i might have to tear the center cap apart to get better access, but again, i'm trying to avoid this. Does anyone know if it'd come out if i could get a good tug on it? I don't know how it works on the inside...

Could the dust cover be removed from the hub and then the the nut removed to pull the hub?

Not done this before so I am just thinking out loud...

Studs are pressed on to the rotor, if it's spinning the ribs have worn off. Try pulling or prying on the rim while backing off the nut. You may have to kill the center cap, an air chisel might be needed.

If it has the factory rally wheels, the center cap comes off. Just remove the three flat head screws. These are the factory rally wheels.

No, the clown I bought it from has Dodge wheels (and center caps) on it, and they're secured by all 5 lug nuts. I don't have access to any air tools, so i'm trying to think of something I can do without having to pay someone more than like $20. I did try and use a dremel, and it helped a little bit but it's back home (i'm a student). I'm going to try it again next weekend some time, but I'm not confident it'll work...

yeah... i'm wondering for preventative reasons. That, and i'm waiting to put some 31-33s on my factory ford 15" rims... just gotta wait for a deal on craig's list, but i'm antsy to get the dodge wheels off, they don't look good.
