Unplug the frame pump, apply 12V across its wires, and check the pressure gauge. Then remove the 12V.

Then jumper the DLC to force the relay on with the key, turn the key to RUN, listen for the selected tank pump, switch to the other tank, and listen for that one.

Click the last thumbnail I posted above, and read about the DFR in that photo album's captions.

Between the weather and work I have not had much time to work on it. I did check the relay and also jumped the connector to the pump and still no pressure. As soon as it stops raining and I am off from work I am going to do as you said, unplug the pump and supply 12 vols to it. Thanks for the help. Jim

I was able to do some trouble shooting. I took out both relays, fuel pump and ECU, and bench tested them. OK. I jumped the fuel pump relay NO connection and heard some other relay click but couldn't locate it but still no pressure. I jumped the upper left pin on the test connector to ground and with the key on the ECU relay engaged but not the fuel relay but not sure it should. I am going to check the high pressure pump today. I did hear the pump in the tank kick on when the key was turned to run for the couple seconds.I only have 1 tank. AM I on the right track? Thanks. Jim

II checked the operation of the ECU relay and all worked. I took the frame mounted pump out and it ran. Check fuel flow from the tank puma and I am getting fuel. Hooked up the frame mount pump and although it is running it is not pumping fuel. Fuel just trickled. Getting a new pump tomorrow. Jim

Hi all. Life got in the way on this project but I have moved forward. I replaced the front fuel pump and it ran fine but I have never gotten it registered or on the road but took it for a spin around the side street a little. I have had it parked for the winter and started it often, until a couple weeks back. It wouldn't start unless I sprayed starting fluid. I have no pressure at the rail. I disconnected the fuel line at the out side of the fuel filter and got gas out of the filter and the line. I need to take off the line at the rail next. I can hear the rear pump running. I haven't checked the rear but with fuel at the filter I am thinking it is. The fuel gauge all of a sudden is showing pinned to the full side. This truck sat for a while before I bought it but I don't know how long. Do you all think I should drop the tank, clean it and put in a new pump? Thanks. Getting ambition as the winter goes away. Jim

It has been a while. I dropped the tank and was cleaning it when I noticed that there were some pin holes in it. I was going to fix it but decided to buy a new tank.I bought a tank that didn't fit. returned it then did some research and bought one I believe will work. The old pump was in horrible shape. So when the ground dries out and my wrenched back heals I will install the new tank and pump. If this doesn't work it is scrap time. Jim
