Me and my buddy are probably going to line them up friday night if he doesnt change his mind. He has a 1986 Dodge 1/2 ton slant six carburated, automatic. Its like a 3.8 or something. Well he thinks he might be able to keep up with my 1989 F-150 300 straight six in a race. So I told him lets line them up. He said he will have to see what hes doing. LOL I think he will puss out but oh well. I thought you all might want to hear that. How many chances in a life time is there when you get to race a straight six against straight six in a old half ton truck built in the same era. In my hometown not to many......

lol....thats kind of how i thought about it. Something that did impress me about my old ford is the fact it ate my friends 318 dodge pickup all stock except for glasspack exhaust pretty bad in a longer race.......Of COurse it makes since his truck doesnt have overdrive. It almost would have him in a short race like stop sign to stop sign if it had more get up at the beginning....lol......it also mioght be because my friends truck is a wore out piece of crap but anyway its one kill for the turtle.

Having a bunch experience with both of these excellent engines I can tell you
the 300 L6 will kick butt on the 225 slant 6.:boxing:

woo hoo for ford! having owned a 3.9 dodge, all I can say Is that I will never go back....
