Too slick for full brakes, so I was pumping like crazy at first, but gave up on them and just let the clutch back out and had the engine brake a bit and just coasted down the hill. Throughout my whole day and night of wreaking havoc throughout my town, I never once felt, or heard the ABS. On another note, I saw at least 6 or 7 near-accidents, and 2 actual accidents. Most of them were due to people holding their brakes. I don't understand how people don't realize that locked up tires have less traction than rolling tires, even on ice/snow. I know it's just reaction sometimes, but holding them ALL the way down a hill... Stumps me.
Yeah, it doesn't really shock me that most people don't understand simple physics when it comes to vehicle maneuvers. Most will panic and tense up during a slide situation and all they know is BRAKE.

But on the ABS note: I don't even think you'd be able to feel the ABS work on the older gen fords with RABS I or II. It's really just a plunger inside of the valve that reads the rear axle speed and adjusts itself to restrict or open pressure. I don't believe you'll feel the brake peddle grind or back off, like you would in a newer model vehicle. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're right about just a limiter valve. I've never felt them pulse like newer ones do.
