Price for seats in a junkyard?
I'm in desperate need of a passenger seat as I've been driving around with only a driver seat for over a month now while I was waiting to get my old seats rebuilt, but I don't have the money anymore.
I'm wondering what an acceptable price for a bench seat in a junkyard would be? Im strapped on cash and can't afford to get ripped off by some jackass who thinks his parts are worth a lot. I got the adjustable driver seat w/armrest from a junkyard that I currently use, for $100 (even/no tax).
(also, I have a 1995 f-150 single cab flareside automatic 2wd, if that makes any difference)

You can always go up some, but you can never go down. If they will not put a price on it, low-ball it and work from there.
They are ultimately dealing with a product that has an expiration date - soft stuff will not last nearly as long as everything else on the vehicle...
I am going to comb the U-pull yards in the area for a blue cloth seat when the weather starts to warm up...

yea sean is right, i use to deal with junk yards alot when i worked at a body shop, if u find a bench seat check it over good and it may sound weird but SMELL THE SEAT ! Also make sure its not soaked with water. Most light smelles u can get out with bakeing soda a soft brissel brush to work the bakeing soda in then a good vaccum.

Unfortunately I live in inner-city Houston where prices are a lot higher then places out in the country. The last time I went to the only junkyard out here with a lot of good-shape 93-96 f150's, they wanted $100 for one single bucket seat. I'll try throwing out $50 as a price this time and wont go over $100.
