I have recently been having this play/thumping noise coming from my truck usually only after I back out of my driveway then shifting to first... 'thump'. Also, when driving down a bumpy road, the truck seems to be loose somewhere. So, I measured from the door jam to the center of my rear axel and found one side is off by nearly 3/4". Now, if the bushings on the leaf springs are not bad (have you ever heard of these going bad?), is it possible the bolts holding the cab to the frame are bad? Is this common?
