Polishing Factory Bumpers & Trim

Polishing Factory Bumpers & Trim
I found a great thread for polishing/ restoring the factory Alcoa aluminum rims but I want to give some attention to the bumpers, door handles and trim too.
My trucks by no means a show truck and I use it regularly but recently I've gotten the urge to clean it up some.
I assume the bumpers are a chrome plated steel? Any product recommendations on what works well to polish these?
Anything that can be done to the 'chrome' looking plastic for the grill and mirror caps?
Is there anyway to bring some shine to aluminum that's been clear coated?
Because I have a set of aluminum running boards that look dull and have water spots on them.

For chromed plastic, use plain white paper (like Brawny paper towels). Not much you can do with Aluminum, unless you strip the clearcoat & polish it.
After any polishing, clearcoat will make it last longer. I prefer DupliColor Engine Clear.

I don't, but I'm not much into detailing. I'm sure there are 1,000 product$ you could try. Try nothing first, and see how it works.
