Plans for your truck in 2019?

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/i...daybiggrin.gif Happy New Year https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/i...daybiggrin.gif

So any special plans for your trucks this year?

Mine?

Make a decision on exactly what Rotating Assembly I want to go with along with Heads, cam and intake and stick to it.
Aquire the BB460 and start the parts list purchasing.

Hope all of you have a succesful, easier, more assuring happy and healthy 2019

God Bless you all.

Happy New Year to you as well, and to everyone else!

I have almost all my parts purchased, just need the weather to smarten up.
  • Heads, Cam/Valve train, Intake, Exhaust, rings & bearings, Maf conversion
  • Regear and Lockers for diffs
  • 17x9 wheels, still need tires, probably end up with 35" Duratracs
  • 6" Superruner lift
  • Ambulance 'upgrade' parts for steering components
  • Need to grab some steel and make a bumper, mount the winch I got

One thing leads to another and before you know it, you wanna tear the whole front end apart. Figure if I'm tearing into it that deeply, may as well knock all the rust off to paint it and it needs to be above freezing for that to happen. Maybe in May lol.

Right now I'm looking real hard a rear disc conversion kit. After upping the power and tire size, I'm going to need to address the brakes, and why replace when you can upgrade?

Body work and paint

hmm.

*Swap out ford EFI to Edelbrock pro flo 4 efi
*Remove all traces of anti pollution controls from engine and install bypass pulley for smog pump
*replace windshield (2 nasty chips in it)
*remove lund moon visor and weld up holes left by screws
*swap to 92-96 mirrors and weld up lower holes in doors
*replace 1 rocker pannel with small rust hole in it and weld up, body filler sand etc and paint
*replace hood with either a rust free OEM or concidering a 3" cowl fiberglass unit from US body
*Billet grille
*Replace aluminum trim pannel on the tailgate mine is cracked on the red and the ford chrome letters are starting to corrode.
*Install after painting B&M 8.8 diff cover, might repaint my Mac performance deep sump AOD trans pan to match. Install inline filter to my cooler lines for a spin on filter
*Install (have) triple gauge pillar pod with Autometer Cobalt oil water volt and trans temp (have gauge cup for the trans temp)
*Install 4 core polished aluminum champion radiator, install goodyear hi miler hose kit (blue hoses) Install flexalite 295 E Fan setup, replace trans cooler with Derale Efan trans cooler setup.

Later on this year I'd like to replace my front core support to a rust free one (aftermarket most likely)
* Get bench seat recovered and install heated seat kits
*install rear 6x9 speakers and 10" sub and amp (have)
* Source and acquire all AC components i'll need to reinstall AC system as the previous owner ripped out the AC system in a quest for more HP (idiot it worked before he ripped it out)
* remove shorty headers and replace with ceramic coated long tubes and have exhaust redone properly with h pipe and not so obnoxious side pipes and mufflers (cab drone)

*** have F4TE 5.8L roller engine i'll be stripping down and making a 408W stroker out of but likely wont be ready this year and i'll have to look into beefing up my trans as well.

thats my short version of my list and goals LOL.

No idea was looking at them as an alternative to trying to source an OEM hood that's rust free.
