pitman arm removal

Didn't pay a dime (it was part of their tool rental program). It broke because I kept tightening and the pitman arm never released. At some point the cheap metal the rental pullers are made of just gives up the ghost and an arm breaks off. It's a bit lively when that happens, so it's a good idea not to have your face right next to it.

broke white boy
i took two off just the other day with a tierod fork/tuning fork/pickle fork.
took me about 5-good whacks with a 5 pound sledge
the big secret it to spray it down with a good penetrating fluid,
I used to use pb blaster,
but i did this last job( axle swap) and I used sea foam deep creep, and i'll have to say taking out 25 year old bolts i expected to do a lot of cutting bolts off, especially the spring bolts, but I ended up cutting ONE and that was a replacement bolt that was stripped before i started.
