Parts/Project Truck Question

Parts/Project Truck Question
I just looked at a '96 f-150 2wd that I want to use either as a parts truck to replace motor and bed on my '92 4wd.
Both trucks have 302's, but the '96 is mass air (which I want). Both are super cabs. I believe both have the e4od.
The interior of the '96 is almost perfect, and it has the 40/20/40 bench.
Here's the problem, the '96 has been in a wreck. It needs an entire front clip. The person selling it bought it like it is as a project, but never got around to it. The very ends of the frame are tweaked from the wreck (appears to have been the pass. front corner got clipped). I think just the accordion is bent though, and the current owner said he got a quote of $150 to get it straightened. He also has almost all of the new body parts it needs. The guy only wants $900, and he said he can work with me on it.
Here's where I stand: My air only half-way works, my interior looks like crap, my engine's dead (basically), and I want to get rid of my flareside. Should I attempt to fix the front-clip and frame on the '96 and eventually swap the front-end out of my '92, along with my tailhousing and transfercase and make it 4wd; or do I swap the motor and bed (which doesn't come close to matching) onto the '92, along with trying ti transfer all the MA wireing, then slowly swap interior pieces?
Which way would be the best bet?

Other than the frame being tweaked a little bit, it looks to be in great shape. Has similar cab rust to my '92, so it seems like a fair trade. I can make it drivable in like a week instead of weeks of work for the '92 to run as good.

We'd do it

The accordian ends do bend fairly easily in an accident. They bend before the actual frame does. Plus if the frame is bent you said you can get it straightened cheap, so it still sounds good. I don't like '96 though because it's OBDII. Doesn't mean I wouldn't drive one though.
