Default Parts identification - photos attached

The first photo is a wire connection plug behind the intake manifold. It is not connected to anything and I was wondering what it is for.

Second photo is a part just in front of the EGR valve. What is it called?

Thanks

Could this be the plug that is meant to go to the EVR? Because I can't seem to find my EVR valve and I can't seem to locate where the green hose from the EGR actually goes.
But then again, I can't see down behind the back of the intake/motor. Where is the EVR supposed to be?
Please help/

ID connectors by their WIRE COLORS. Find the colors on this list (including the NEXT several pages), and when you have a few possible circuit names, it should become apparent which system the connector belongs to:

Browse this & the NEXT several pics:

Thanks for the wire color code list. As far as the EVR, nothing you posted tells me where that is. I know where it is on a Bronco but not a 92 F-150.
I tried to trace the green hose from the EGR into the harness, but I don't see where it ever comes out so I assume it is somewhere at the back of
the motor, where I can't see much. Do you know where it is?

Oooops, ok I found my EVR right where it is supposed to be (same as the Bronco). I thought it was much bigger than it is so I over looked it.
As for the wiring connector that is not connected to anything. The wires look to be the same color as the ones plugged into the EVR. I would assume the wires from the
EVR go to the EEC. The wires are Red and what looks like green with a stripe that I can't tell what color it is.

Then peel the split loom back so you can clean the wires & get the colors. Many of the sensors & actuators are on the Red (VPWR) circuit. Scroll down to pins 37 & 57 in this diagram:

Then follow the Red circuit back up & across to each component, and look at the OTHER wire color for each one. You can also browse this diagram:
