Default EGR Vaccum line HELP!

My truck has had a blockoff plate on the egr since I bought it. I decided to try taking it off and making the egr system functional again. I removed the block off plate and reconnected the egr. Now all that needs to be hooked up is the vacuum line. I see where the vacuum line should attach to the egr, but I don't know where I need to pull vacuum from (where on the engine should the vacuum line be from?) There's a nipple right next to the IAC that I can use, but I don't know if thats the right spot. Anybody know where it needs to go????

The engine is a 4.9 btw

There "should" be a permanent sticker under your hood w/ a Vac diagram. Mines on the cover to the air filter housing.

It goes from there to the EGR regulator. Not sure where that's kept on an I-6. On the v8, next to the thermators.

you want the line from the egr regulator solenoid, which is beside the driver's side valve cover next to the ignition coil and the thermactor solenoids

Bahaha!

As to "from source Vac". I've seen a tee to the Vac reserve & Vac tree of manifold & I've seen directly to the Vac reserve which connects to the Vac tree. I'm looking around for your specific diagram.
