Default Oil leak.

Hey everybody, so I have an oil leak that has been giving me some problems that I'd like to find out what could be causing it.

The thing is, I guess it's been leaking out of a hole in the transmission. The transmission has not been punctured, but a hole that was manufactured in it. Do you know what this could mean?

Is the fluid red or brown? Is it leaking from around the bellhousing? Any oil on the oilpan?

It's brown. Not transmission fluid.

No, it's just seeping through the hole in the transmission.

It's not terribly bad, but overnight I have it on a drip pan and it'll fill a four - six inch diameter.

You could take of the bottom inspection cover if you have an e4od and feel around for oil in there. if there is oil its probably rear main. It's probably rear main anyway.
