Default Oh no!! My 300 wont start :(

So i went out this morning and tried to start my truck.. and she wouldnt start!
The fuel pump sounded weak, so I'm going to try that first.
But also it did turn over but it was very weak..
Thoughts anyone?

well 2 things...I would check spark and fuel pressure...

it needs both...with low fuel pressure it will fire but may not run correctly...

We're in texas, so not too cold
The pump sounded weak when i turned the key to start, and the starter was weak. Don't think its battery but i will check when i get off work.

Check fuel pump relay and eec relay. Mine did the same thing, one of those (don't remember which) controls the fuel injection. The fuel pump works, but truck won't start. I've had it happen on two trucks and just unplugging the relay, tapping it a few times, and plugging it in allowed it to start.

Thanks for the second vote. But ya know, PETA is really big in California. Maybe he's smack in the middle of a PETA "Don't jump that Puppy!" campaign there in Texas & doesn't want to admit to it on the internet. They're probably pouring red paint all over his truck while I'm typing this! I know they're real touchy about puppies here.

HA!!!
Veery funny. PETA stands for people eating tasty animals right?
And it was the battery AND the alternator.. Changed both and something is still draining my battery... Thoughts? I thought maybe the starter relay..

Default mine did the same thing

ok so i have a 1995 f150 2wd with a 300 I6 and it did the same thing the starter was slow but luckily i have a stick and i pushed it and poped the clutch but later on that day i went home and charged my battery thinking thats what it was but then my solonoid just started clicking so i took my starter off and got it tested at my local auto-zone and it was bad but they wanted $140 for a new one with a lifetime warranty so i went to a junkyard and picked up one for $40 hope it helps

Well, trick one of your friends over w/ whatever you think will work. Disconnect the negative and hold the one probe of a tester to the post and the other to the cable end. Are you showing a voltage draw? If so, have your friend start pulling one fuse at a time till your voltage draw stops. That will narrow your search. You could also remove the single POS feeds off the hot side of the solenoid, one at a time. Removing the starter cable will eliminate it as a draw in the same manner. I suppose the ignition circuit could be bleeding. Disconnect that small wire off the solenoid and see if the draw drops off. You don't have a rear window defroster or some other bazaar accessory? After market alarms are notorious for this.
