Default Oh **** Handles

Ok guys i know this seems weird a oh **** handle in a f150 but the ol lady keeps naggin on me about not having one hoping in n out of the truck and when were off roading. My question is has anyone had any luck mounting one in this age of truck. I couldnt find anything even for the f250 n f350s. I preferr something that looks like it came factory not some flashing chrome cover crap screwed into the cab uprights. Any information an pictures would be helpful.

here is what i did on a nice saturday. took mabey about an hour to make it look nice and make it sturdy. went to the junkyard and took it out of a suburban. made the wife alot happier. i'm kind of surprised that ford didn't start putting them in until the 1997 models.

Suzuki did you just use self tapping screws to attach that handle or did u pull the molding off and screw around welding a nut or bolt to the metal so it had a good attachment point. any advice would be great thanks. And you said you used chevy handles why not ford handles off an explorer, or newer model trucks. Was there a different reason other then availability.

Thanks

i cut holes out in the moulding and used self threading screws. i picked good places on the pillar when i had the moulding off to mount it though. i just got it out of a suburan cause it was the first vahicle with a handle i found.

My wife just asked me about this yesterday.
Now I'll have to try and find matching handles at the local LKQ
