Now I'm stumped
So, I put new fuel pumps in, as i suspected the originals both where dead and the fuel filter was clogged, after getting them in it fired right up. Idled great, i let it run for a solid 10 mins then I checked my a/c and it died. I restarted it, tried again with the same result. Switched to the heater and it died also. Restarted again, then put it in 1st, with no a/c or heater running let the clutch out and and it died, had to keep the rpms, up to about 3,000 to get it to creep at all. I noticed the check engine light was on, so I'm going to pull codes tomorrow after work and see if it leads me to anything in relation to the issue. It's like once load is put on the system it can't handle it and cuts out. Any ideas? I'll repost with my pulled codes tomorrow evening also. Thanks for any input.

Does your truck have an IAC?

Ya, it does, I replaced that when it started to act up the 1st time. Less than 700 miles on it. I guess it could be a defective unit. I'll check it out also.

You should be testing/diagnosing parts BEFORE you buy or install them, and again immediately AFTER installing each one.
The code list in this caption is specific to these trucks:

But they rarely help in diagnosing an engine that runs smoothly. I expect you'll end up testing most of the sensors & actuators:

I will, going to start by getting the codes and see what it says, then check the a/c pulley and then go to the iac today. I'll post the results, and thanks for the diagrams, they will help a ton.

There's not likely anything wrong with the pulley, or the A/C clutch electromagnet.

I think that's just a symptom of the root cause, which I'm guessing is the TPS, ECT, or ACT (but don't buy/replace anything based on anyone's guess - test them).
It would help us help you if you put all the truck's details into your signature, as described in this caption:

So I ran the codes and it came back as 22. I googled it and said map sensor out of range.
i looked online for ways to test it and had no success. My friend also said it sounds like I have a misfire, so we are going to check the resistance to the injectors, timing, and firing order. I've had 2 shops look at it with no luck fixing the problem, just getting a heafty bill. Is There a way to test the map?
Like you said steve83 the a/c pulley is fine. I ran out of time today before I could test anything else.

How many times did it show code 22? Did you read that code by light flash, or with a scanner?

I did it by blinks, no scanner. I saw it do it 2 times in a row, then I got out of the cab. Got back in and did it again to be sure and it was the same. Well, I only let it show me 2 times then I shut it off.

I put a new map sensor in and it's good to go. Runs great, drives great and i can use the a/c and heater now. Next up is the muffler, mine has rust holes in it and bleed the brakes then go get a smog done. Any recommendations on mufflers for the 5.0? I'd like to keep it semi quite if possible. On a side note, in the near future I may get some comp cams, don't know if I should take that into consideration with the noise level or performance of the truck when searching for a muffler. Thanks for all the help and links. Much appreciated
