Default 351 lotta power little gas mileage

1995 love the truck it sits alot because of gas mileage any quick cheap fixes to improve mileage?

Tune up. (all the filters, plugs, cap, rotor, oil change, trans fluid/filter change timing) Smaller tires/stock tires etc.

if i stay off it all week i get 11 but i mean just barley touching the gas
and ill change it all
how would i advance my timing a little bit more forward?

Well there's two ways. You can do it on the distributor or the actual crack itself. I would recommend doing it on the dis first see where you want it, reset it back to where it was and then do it on the crank. There are degree markers on the crank pulley that tell you where your at. There should be an O that you look through to get the numbers about exact. And also get you a timing light gun or something like that. It plugs up into the first spark plug and then you ground it and then you shoot it at the belt. And then go to town.

Have you done a good thorough tune up recently? Like booger said, air filter, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, oil change, oil filter...

You're probably not gonna do a lot better than that in town anyway - seems like around 14 tops is about the best you'll see.

14!! thats better then my 2wd 04 4.6! i olny get about 13 in it im gonna tune this truck up try advancing the timing and try getting some cheep headers for it

I get around 16 on the highway with mine and it needs a tune up.

i should get a pic of my baby on here shes a 4x4 crew cab short bed shes like the hulk green and everything!! for that motor and that size she dont do to bad everythings stock and works great but she does need a tune up and a full exhaust would be nice too
