no offense to everyone else but i hate the i6 engines lol. iv dealt with 1 in my life and it was a bigger pile of crap then the ford Taurus. had problems since my friend owned it from 120k miles to 187k miles when it blew a head gasket and bent a rod. it didnt have the mythical low end power or anything. it drove like it was being pulled by a beaten horse lol.

A little off topic but if I was going to throw a bit of money at my 93 I would remove the 300 i6 and drop a 347 stroker with holly self learning fuel injection and a stand alone e4od controller after a good upgrade/rebuild on the trans.

I think that setup would complement my 6" lift and 35" tires with 4.56 gears real nice!!

Ya that's a good idea! It's amazing what gears will do for a truck! I have a friend that put lower gears in his mustang and it actually improved his top speed because the car could actually rev the 5.0 out in fifth.

yea the pontiac in my picture has 4.56 gears in it right now. we dont know its top speed yet we just know its 140+ but it does the 1/4 at about 122 mph lol. i forget the damn times. its been 2 months since the last time it was on the track, its garaged for winter now.

i only need to go 90 mph at the very most so i dont care about top end on my truck, aslong as i can do 85 im fine.
